THE SHORT STORY
I learned how to sail in Southern California when I was 6 years old and began racing sailboats at 8. I joined the US Sailing Team Olympic Development Program at 15 and began traveling the world competing. At 16 I won my first World title in the I420 and at 17 became the Female Youth World Champion in the 29er. I was training for the Olympics in the 49erFX when the COVID-19 pandemic hit and shut the world down. Looking for a way to get back on the water, I connected with a windsurfer from my local sailing club who loaned me a kit and let me tag along for an afternoon intro session. Within a week I was hooked and have not stopped since!

WHAT DO I DO BESIDES WINDSURFING/WINGSURFING
I studied Statistics & Data Science at university and now work as a data and performance analyst primarily for the US Sailing Team, but also consult for other Olympic National Governing Bodies and the US Olympic & Paralympic Committee.  I’m also a remote mentor for girls in sports through the nonprofit Voice in Sport; and I love to coach youth sailing whenever I can.

I still sail boats too! Most recently as a part of the New York Yacht Club American Magic Women’s & Youth America’s Cup Program on the 69F and just for fun around the Bay in San Francisco.Â
