The short story:
As a native Californian and son of a windsurfer, I’ve been near the water for as long as I can remember – and even before: there are pictures of me on a windsurfer from as far back as 2010 when I was only five years old. They sometimes tell me I didn’t like to get my face wet before that, but I find that a bit hard to believe . I was just getting into surfing again when foils and wings gained popularity and that made me sit up and take notice. For the last two years, winging has been a massive inspiration and huge part of my life outside of school – I don’t know what I would be doing without all that it has brought me. I’ve only had a taste of racing in last season’s St Francis Wingfoil Slalom Series and I’m keeping my eyes open for more winging competitions to get as far as I possibly can with racing. I want to push myself to the limits of my ability and I can’t wait for what the future holds for the sport, for F4 and for me personally.
What do I do beside windsurfing/wingsurfing:
Besides winging and windsurfing I like to work with my hands, creatively making things out of wood, metal, and other materials. I also play violin and piano. I’m a junior in High School so that takes up most of my time, but outside of class I’m generally at home, in the pool playing water polo, on the lacrosse field, with my girlfriend, with friends or on the water!
